First day cover envelope celebrating William Caxton (1422-1491), a merchant and writer who was the first person to introduce the printing press to England in1476, and to be the first English retailer of printed books. Featuring all four stamps in the series and a unique Caxton postmark.

First Day Covers (or FDC's to those in the know) are a collectible envelope featuring new postage stamp designs. The envelope features the full stamp set affixed and postmarked on the very first day of issue, and some envelopes also include specially made postmarks that celebrate the release.
